Newly released surveillance video is circulating from Wednesday's deadly shooting at the Citibank campus in Hillsborough County, where a security guard is being credited with stopping a gunman who came armed with 90 rounds of ammunition.Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister identified the guard as John Fraley, a Marine Corps veteran working security at the campus near I-75 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.Investigators say Jacob Pearson, 35, of Orlando, called a law firm that collects debts for Citibank around 9 a.m. Wednesday. He was angry about a summons over a $2,500 delinquent payment and threatened to come "over there with my AR-15" unless the case was dropped. The firm alerted Citibank security, and Orlando police went to his home for a welfare check, but he wasn't there.Just after noon, deputies say Pearson drove over several medians, crashed through a fence and into an outdoor courtyard where employees were eating lunch. He shot Leanne Selmon, 41, of Palm Harbor, a nine-year Citibank employee. Chronister said Pearson walked back to his car, got a handgun, and returned to kill Selmon as she tried to crawl away.Pearson then went into the main building toward the cafeteria. The sheriff said Fraley took a tactical position inside the men's restroom and opened fire. The two exchanged shots, and Fraley hit Pearson five times. Pearson died at Tampa General Hospital."This is our hero, this Citibank employee, who runs towards danger," Chronister said. "He didn't have to stop. He could have run and protected his own life, too."About 3,200 employees were on the property. More than 300 deputies responded to search the campus and evacuate workers. Four people had non-life-threatening injuries, some likely from running from the scene. The sheriff said Pearson had no criminal record. His wife is cooperating with investigators.#FloridaNews #Tampa #HillsboroughCounty ...
