A memo from the U.S. Department of Agriculture explains that the agency’s contingency fund is not legally available to cover regular monthly benefits without an approved federal budget. SERIOUS INJURY HIT AND RUN MOTORCYCLE CRASH - STATE ROAD 520On October 25, 2025, at approximately 12:17 A.M., FHP responded to a hit-and-run crash with serious injuries on State Road 520 and Clearlake Road. The crash involves V1 (unknown gray sedan) and V2 (2010 Harley Davidson Motorcycle). Post-collision, the gray sedan fled the scene. The motorcycle rider and passenger, 55-year-old male from Cocoa and 54-year-old female from Merrit Island, were transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition. V1 is possibly a gray in color Hyundai sedan. V1 should have heavy front-end damage. Possibly missing the grill, fog lights, and most of the front bumper.
