Four people are believed to have been injured by the same shark — four separate incidents involving the shark, including two bites — while in waters off the southern coast of Texas on the Fourth of July, officials said.
The graphic image shows a distinct shark bite removing almost her entire posterior lower leg.

A tourniquet was applied by a Good Samaritan at the scene.
Earlier in New Smyrna Beach, a man from Ohio was bitten while playing football in knee deep water. Officials said just before 4 p.m. the 21-year-old was bitten on his right foot.
New Smyrna is known as the shark but capital of the world.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
