Palm Bay, FL – On August 9th, 2024, a tragic hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Capeador St NW and Nadell St NW resulted in the death of a 23-year-old pedestrian, Nathaniel Soueidan. The incident, which occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m., led to an immediate response from the Palm Bay Police Department, who discovered Soueidan deceased on the sidewalk.

Initial investigations revealed that the crash was a hit-and-run, with a witness reporting that the suspect’s vehicle fled the scene, heading westbound on Malabar Rd. The Traffic Homicide Investigations (THI) team was promptly notified to assist in the investigation.

As the investigation unfolded, the suspect vehicle and a driver returned to the scene. However, discrepancies arose during the on-scene investigation, casting doubt on the driver’s involvement in the accident. Police suspected that the individual who returned was not the actual driver at the time of the crash.

Through meticulous investigative measures, it was confirmed that the individual who initially returned to the scene was not behind the wheel during the crash. Further efforts, including video confirmation, identified the true driver as 17-year-old Tyler Sabdull. Shockingly, it was discovered that Tyler’s father, 37-year-old Narrian Sabdull, had initially claimed to be driving the vehicle.

Evidence obtained from the suspect vehicle through a search warrant revealed that the vehicle was traveling at an estimated speed of approximately 94 mph at the time of the crash, adding a dangerous element to the already tragic event.

Tyler Sabdull was arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Death and Vehicular Manslaughter. Additionally, Narrian Sabdull faces charges for Providing False Information at a Crash, further complicating the legal ramifications of the incident.

Palm Bay Police Chief Mario Augello expressed deep concern over the incident, stating, “This incident is deeply concerning and underscores the serious nature of road safety and accountability. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this incredibly difficult time.”

The Palm Bay Police Department continues to investigate the incident, and further details will be released as they become available. The department is urging anyone with additional information about the crash to come forward to aid in their ongoing investigation.
