PALM BAY, Fla. — The Palm Bay community will come together on Saturday, January 31, 2026, for a special bike ride honoring the life of Noah Baus, a young boy remembered for his love of riding and the joy he brought to those around him.
The event, titled “Honor Ride for Noah Baus,” will take place at Fred Lee Park and the Grapefruit Trails, bringing together friends, families, and riders of all ages to celebrate Noah’s life through two rides along routes that held deep meaning to him.

Noah tragically passed away on Monday, January 12, alongside his grandmother, Sherrill, in a devastating house fire. In the wake of the loss, Noah’s friends and loved ones organized the community ride as a way to honor his memory in a way that reflects who he was.
Those who knew Noah say he was rarely without his bike. He was often seen riding along the Americana and Emerson corridor, always wearing his black full-face helmet. The routes selected for Saturday’s rides were two of his favorites.
Morning Ride with Police Escort
The first ride will begin at 10 a.m. at Fred Lee Park, located at 895 Emerson Drive NE in Palm Bay. Riders will gather and organize by age and size before crossing Emerson Road under escort by the Palm Bay Police Department Bike Patrol, who will ensure a safe crossing and provide visibility for drivers.
From Fred Lee Park, riders will travel north along Emerson Road toward Covenant Church, following the same 0.9-mile route Noah rode every Wednesday afternoon to attend his church’s youth program. The ride is expected to take between 5 and 15 minutes, depending on the youngest riders.
Covenant Church will host a water tent and rest area for participants, allowing everyone to regroup before riding back to Fred Lee Park. Organizers say riders can expect a few fun surprises waiting for them upon their return.
Afternoon Ride at Grapefruit Trails
A second ride is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Grapefruit Trails and is intended for riders capable of handling trail conditions. The Brevard Mountain Bike Association will be participating in the afternoon ride, offering support for more experienced and adrenaline-loving riders.
Lunch will be provided for those participating in the Grapefruit Trails ride.
Parking and Community Courtesy
Organizers are asking attendees to be mindful of parking at both locations. While parking is available, large turnout could require some parking on grassy areas. Participants are encouraged to arrive early or ride their bikes to the event if parking is a concern.
“We want this to remain a respectful and positive event,” organizers said. “These are parks where our children play, and it would be heartbreaking to see such a meaningful gathering turn into chaos.”
A Community-Funded Tribute
While organizers are still awaiting confirmation from a few agencies, they say the event is shaping up to be a powerful display of community support. The ride is being made possible through generous contributions from community members and participants who wanted to honor Noah in a way that reflects his spirit.
The Honor Ride for Noah Baus is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend, ride, or show support as Palm Bay comes together to remember a young life gone too soon.
