According to law enforcement records, officers responded to the 2000 block of Clover Street NE on August 31, 2025, in reference to a shooting incident. Deputies made contact with the suspect, identified as Roman Rawicki, who admitted to firing a weapon during the altercation.
Wrong Address Leads to Violence
Investigators say a woman, identified in reports as TP, was following another person, WP, to a residence for the first time when she accidentally went to Rawicki’s home instead. As she approached the driveway, Rawicki allegedly attacked her, grabbing her arm and wrist and forcing her into an arm lock against her will.

TP was able to call WP for help, and WP ran to assist. Rawicki then released TP, retreated into his home, retrieved a firearm, and returned outside. He allegedly fired multiple rounds toward TP and WP as they got into TP’s vehicle to flee. Both victims reported that the car was struck numerous times by gunfire.
Children Present During Shooting
Reports indicate that two children, PR and RR, were inside another vehicle parked near the driveway at the time of the incident. A witness confirmed the children were frightened during the confrontation. Video evidence reportedly shows TP approaching the residence in a non-threatening manner before the altercation began.

Detectives later recovered 17 shell casings near the roadway in front of Rawicki’s home. TP’s vehicle sustained significant damage, including a flat tire, a broken bracelet, and bullet defects to the bumper valued at more than $1,000.
Suspect’s Statement
In a post-Miranda interview, Rawicki told investigators he believed TP to be a prostitute and claimed he attacked her out of fear for his wife’s safety. He admitted to firing at TP and WP but did not provide further explanation for his actions. He also called 911 after the incident, identifying himself as the shooter and referencing a “no soliciting” sign on his property.
Charges Filed
Based on sworn statements, physical evidence, and witness accounts, investigators determined there was probable cause to charge Rawicki with:
- Attempted Felony Murder
- False Imprisonment
- Criminal Mischief Greater Than $1,000
- Discharging a Firearm on Residential Property
- Battery
- Child Neglect and Contributing to the Dependency of a Child
Detectives noted Rawicki’s use of a firearm in close proximity to the children placed their physical and mental wellbeing at risk, prompting involvement from the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
Rawicki was taken into custody and booked on the listed charges.
