Brevard School Board picks 4 finalist for new Superintendent

This morning, from a pool of 11 candidates, the Brevard Public School Board narrowed the list down to 4 to interview to become the next Superintendent. There was originally a total of 33 applicants for the position.

Receiving 4 out of 5 votes was Scott Schneider: Chief of Schools, Duval County Public Schools — Application, Application questions Video Response, Written Response

Receiving 3 out of 5 were:

Dr. Mark Rendell: Principal, Cocoa Beach Junior-Senior High School, Brevard Public Schools and former Indian River County School District superintendent — Application Application questions Video Response, Written Response

John Stratton: Superintendent, Hernando County Schools — Application Application questions Video Response, Written Response

Dr. Jason Wysong: Deputy superintendent, executive director for instructional excellence and system equity — Application Application questions Video Response, Written Response

The remaining part of the process will be a public interview of each candidate by the entire board, individual interviews with each board member privately, and also a community public meet and greet/forum for members of the public to speak with the applicants.
