On the morning of October 9, 2025, deputies responded to Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle parked on the sidewalk just outside the school’s east pedestrian gate.

The vehicle — a black Jeep registered to Marvin Otis Guth — was unoccupied when deputies arrived. Surveillance footage shows Guth parking the Jeep outside the gate at approximately 8:43 a.m. and then walking south toward his residence on Addie Avenue, roughly 0.2 miles away. He was later located and arrested at his home on an active bench warrant for failure to appear in court earlier that morning.

Because of Guth’s previous threats to kill students and law enforcement officers, as well as a court order requiring him to stay 1,000 feet away from any school property, both Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School and Enterprise Elementary were placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution while deputies secured the area and searched for him.

Guth has a documented history of violent threats. Earlier this year, he was charged with Corruption by Threat Against a Public Servant and Threatening Death or Serious Harm to Law Enforcement after making multiple threats, including to “kill all the kids” and “burn the school to the ground.”

Following his arrest on the new Trespassing on School Grounds charge and the outstanding warrant, Guth appeared in court for his initial appearance. According to Sheriff Wayne Ivey who personally attended the hearing, Prosecutor Loughran requested that Guth’s previous bond be revoked and that he be held with No Bond on the original case. Judge Michelle Baker immediately granted the request, revoked his previous bond, and issued a No Bond hold, ensuring Guth will remain behind bars.

Judge Baker also set a $15,000 bond on the new trespassing charge, but Guth cannot bond out due to the No Bond status on the previous case. Sheriff Ivey personally attended the hearing, calling Guth “an absolute threat to society,” and thanked deputies, prosecutors, and Judge Baker for ensuring he remains in custody.

Guth’s residence is located at 6605 Addie Avenue, just a short distance from Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School. This information is being provided so parents are aware of the location in relation to their children’s walking routes to and from school.
