Around 4:20pm on Aurora Rd. and Cecilia, a 13-year-old girl was hit by a large suv while riding her bicycle.

13-year-old girl struck and killed while riding bike

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the young girl was attempting to cross the street where there was no crosswalk.
She was hit by a Dodge Durango while crossing. Witnesses stated that CPR was attempted at the scene to save the girl’s life.

She was transported to the hospital where she died. The Groveland woman driving the Durango and her passengers were uninjured.
