Cocoa Beach Police Identify Body Found in Car

Cocoa Beach Police released a press release today identifying the woman found dead in a vehicle last week. Witnesses noticed the car had been parked in the same spot next to a elementary school for 2 weeks.

They began to notice a strong odor and the vehicle surrounded by flies. They notified police who then discovered the body. They would not disclose exactly where in the vehicle the body was found, but were focusing their time on the trunk of the vehicle.

Deceased Identified in Death Investigation

Detectives with the Cocoa Beach Police Department have successfully identified the deceased individual in regards to the death investigation at 321 Ramp Road On July 26th, 2024. The deceased has been identified as Deborah Fletcher of Cocoa Beach.

This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

This investigation is still ongoing and anyone who may have any information is asked to contact the Cocoa Beach Police Department at 321-868-3251.
