On Nov. 15, 2025, at about 9:11 A.M., Cocoa Beach officers responded to 85 S. Atlantic Ave. after a report of a stolen golf cart. The theft was reported to have occurred during the early morning hours.
The owner tracked the vehicle using an onboard GPS device, which led officers to the area of Terri Lane in Cocoa. Cocoa Beach detectives, along with deputies from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, responded. Following interviews and a brief search, officers located the stolen golf cart concealed behind a residence and partially covered with branches. The cart had been partially spray-painted black in an apparent attempt to alter its appearance.
The golf cart was recovered and returned to the owner later that same day. Detectives continued to investigate and collect evidence, working in collaboration with the Cocoa Police Department.
As a result of the investigation, on Jan. 19, 2026, Cocoa Beach Police detectives charged Brandon Frank Hall, 27, of Cocoa, in connection with the incident. Hall, who was already in custody at the Brevard County Jail on unrelated charges, was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and dealing in stolen property. Hall is currently being held on a no bond status.
Cocoa Beach Police would like to thank the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and the Cocoa Police Department for their assistance and cooperation during the investigation.
Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Taylor Payne of the Cocoa Beach Police Department at 321-868-3344.
