Police say the situation escalated when Kendra Edwards allegedly grabbed a butcher knife from the kitchen, slammed it repeatedly on the counter, and then walked toward him while holding the knife, causing him to fear for his safety. Edwards told officers he walked away toward the master bedroom because he believed she might attack him.
The victim told officers he did not wish to pursue charges, but he provided home surveillance video of the incident. Officers reported the video corroborated his statement.
