SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. — A 43-year-old man is facing a felony charge after police say he deliberately posted sexually explicit photographs of a woman in public areas of a local Publix store, including locations accessible to children.

According to the Satellite Beach Police Department, officers responded to the Publix at 1024 Highway A1A on August 3, 2025, after multiple nude images of the victim were discovered taped or placed throughout the store. The photographs — printed on postcard-style paper — were found in shopping carts, the men’s restroom, the soda aisle, and an outdoor merchandise bin.

Investigators say the images were private photos the victim had previously shared with Christopher Stehman during their relationship. She told police she never gave consent for the pictures to be distributed or displayed publicly.

One of the images, described in the arrest report as “sexually explicit,” depicted the victim digitally penetrating herself. Officers noted that the materials were placed in areas where they would be visible to the general public, including minors, with the apparent intent to cause the victim embarrassment and emotional distress.

Store surveillance video reportedly showed Stehman entering Publix on two separate occasions. On the second visit, police say he appeared to conceal his identity, avoided certain parts of the store, and was later seen walking toward the child cart area carrying an item matching the size and appearance of the recovered photographs.

Afterward, Stehman was observed leaving the store and driving away in a blue Mitsubishi Mirage. Although cameras did not capture him physically placing the images, investigators said his conduct, timeline, and location inside the store strongly supported his involvement.

The victim identified Stehman from the surveillance footage and also told police about a recent custody dispute, which she believed may have been a motivating factor. She further described a history of similar incidents in which Stehman allegedly distributed nude images of her without consent.

Police determined there was probable cause to arrest Stehman on one count of Sexual Cyberharassment under Florida Statute 784.049(3). The charge is a third-degree felony, punishable by up to five years in prison.

Investigators cited the explicit and private nature of the images, the lack of consent, the intentional public dissemination, corroborating witness statements, and the supporting surveillance footage in their arrest affidavit.
