Democrats elect Pamela Castellana to replace Stacey Patel as Brevard DEC Chair

Wednesday night, Brevard Democrats elected Candidate and Campaign Committee Chair Pamela Castellana as the new Chair of the Brevard Democratic Executive Committee.

Pamela Castellana, a lifelong Democrat, has lived in Melbourne since 1996.  She has an extensive history with leadership in corporate America and is a successful entrepreneur in the community.  She is married to her college sweetheart, has two grown daughters who each have families of their own.  She is committed to voter education, a free press and open dialogue with both allies and opponents.

In a Facebook post, outgoing chair Stacey Patel stated:

“It’s been an honor to serve the BrevardDems as Chair for the last four years. I’m beyond grateful to so many of you who have made so much progress possible, and who have taught me so much about what democracy – and community – really looks like. We’re just getting started. The best lies ahead.”

Other offices elected were; Congrats too to Matthew Nylen (Vice Chair), Claudette Wells (Treasurer), and Jerard E. Kelley (Secretary).


  1. Pamela Casttellana says the there’s a big difference between Minneapolis and The Capital? I am from Minnesota. A broken window at Target? She needs to go there and see the entire block burned to the ground including the police precinct? Please get your facts straight!!
