Beachside Municipalities at Odds with the County Commission on Opening Beach Parking and Parks

Published on

Yesterday, Indialantic Mayor Dave Berkman spoke at the Special County Commission meeting to discuss the reopening of the county in accordance with the Governor’s executive orders. Berkman spoke on behalf of all beachside mayors asking for a delay in opening the parking and parks at the beach. The County voted 4-1 to do it anyway.

Satellite Beach issued the following statement announcing an executive order of their own extending the closures of their beaches until May 15. The announcement also states that the other beachside communities will do the same.
