This marked the beginning of a series of academic achievements, with Cameron obtaining a Master of Science degree in Non-profit Leadership and a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy from New England College. Early in her career, Cameron demonstrated her unwavering commitment to advocacy and justice by serving as a Staff Attorney at Brevard County Legal Aid. During her seven-year tenure, she dedicated herself to advocating for victims of violence, assisting survivors in obtaining protection orders against abuse. In addition to this, she took on the role of Attorney ad Litem, fighting for the rights of children in foster care who had faced neglect, abuse, or abandonment. Representing nearly one hundred children, her efforts did not go unnoticed. In 2019, Cameron was honored with the Excellence in Advocacy Award from the Florida Guardian ad Litem program, a testament to her unyielding dedication to the cause.
