(Titusville, FL)- Two Titusville Officers responding to a disturbance call involving an armed person received moderate but non-life-threatening injuries when their patrol cars collided.
At approximately 8:55 a.m. two officers, in separate marked patrol cars, were responding to 911 calls about a woman brandishing a handgun at another person in the retail parking lot of award trophy, 4424 S. Hopkins Ave Titusville. As the officers were approaching the scene, they received updated information that one of the suspects had just left.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the closest officer to the call made a sudden U-turn to pursue the suspect vehicle, when the patrol car behind her struck the side of her car and then struck some trees along the roadway.
