Are people going back to hotels over Airbnb?![]()
![]()
A recent national survey found 62% of travelers now prefer hotels over Airbnb or Vrbo. The top reasons: better amenities, no cleaning rules or fees, and easier booking and cancellation.![]()
![]()
It’s not hard to see why. About 89% of U.S. short-term rentals charge a cleaning fee, and many guests have still been handed a chore list at checkout. Strip the beds, run the dishwasher, take out the trash.![]()
![]()
Airbnb seems to have noticed. Starting with bookings made Nov. 20, hosts can no longer require guests to do chores like washing dishes or stripping beds, and hosts who keep doing it could see their listings pushed down in search.![]()
![]()
Will that be enough to win people back, or is the fee problem the bigger issue?![]()
![]()
Hotel, Airbnb, or does it depend on the trip?![]()
![]()
And to the Space Coast hosts out there, we want to hear your side too. What do guests not understand about running a rental here?![]()
