Florida State Representative Anthony Sabatini filed HB 6013 ‘Verification of Employment Eligibility by a Private Employer.’

I have filed HB 6013, a bill that corrects the fake E-Verify law that the legislature passed last year. Instead of passing a bill that would have required private employers use E-Verify, the legislature gave private employers the “option” to use it—my Bill will make it mandatory!

E-Verify is a United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) website that allows businesses to determine the eligibility of their employees, both U.S. and foreign citizens, to work in the United States
