The Cocoa Beach Police Department announced the arrest of Brendon Alladin Miller on May 14, 2025, after a joint operation with the Cincinnati Police Department in Ohio. Miller was taken into custody in Ohio and is currently awaiting extradition to the Brevard County Jail on charges of Sexual Battery and Battery.

The case dates back to January 28, 2023, when Cocoa Beach police began investigating a report of a sexual battery and battery involving an adult female victim and an unidentified suspect. Despite limited leads at the time, detectives continued to work the case and in January 2025 received new DNA evidence that helped move the investigation forward.

Working with the Cincinnati Police Department, detectives secured a DNA sample from a potential suspect in Ohio. The sample was analyzed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), which provided a forensic match that led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Miller.

“This case serves as a powerful reminder that if you commit a crime in the City of Cocoa Beach, we will pursue justice—regardless of state lines,” said the Cocoa Beach Police Department in a statement, extending their gratitude to both FDLE and the Cincinnati Police Department for their assistance.
