Jerry Wayne Fine, 79, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away on August 9, 2025. Born to Mary and Bill Fine in Knoxville, Tennessee, the family moved to Florida in 1951. Jerry spent many joyful days on the baseball field, his lifelong passion. He was a star pitcher for his hometown teams.

Following in the footsteps of his father and brother, Jerry entered the car business. Together, they ran their own car lot, Fine Used Cars, with locations on Merritt Island and in Cocoa. Jerry quickly developed his skills and became known for his dedication and expertise.

In 1969, Jerry began working at Warren Wooten Ford, where he met the love of his life, Susie. They married in 1973 and had two sons, Jerry and Robert. Jerry and Susie shared 56 wonderful years together, 52 of them as husband and wife.

In 1975, Jerry became the Used Car Manager at Warren Wooten Ford, a position he held for the next 20 years. He had a deep love for the classic “hot” cars of his youth and restored several, including a 1962 Ford Starliner and a 1967 Corvette Stingray. His collection also featured a 1985 El Camino and a 1966 Chevy Chevelle SS. Every time he worked on or drove his cars, he relived the excitement of his younger days.

Jerry also enjoyed relaxing on the golf course with his friends and sons, where they shared laughter, jokes, and the occasional “colorful” golfer’s language. He was an avid bass fisherman, often heading out to Lake Poinsett and the St. Johns River on his days off.

After retiring, Jerry began volunteering with Computers for Education, located in Titusville. He quickly learned all about computers and turned it into a hobby. He thoroughly enjoyed building and repairing computers for family, friends and new acquaintances.

A loving husband and father, Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Susie; his sons, Jerry (wife Kate) and Robert; his granddaughter, Caroline; and many nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes, there will be no public service. The family will honor him privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite cause or to the American Heart Association.

A special thanks to the outstanding Cardiac CICU team at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne.
