Hernando Superintendent John Stratton withdraws application for Brevard; down to 3 finalist for the position now

John Stratton, Superintendent of Hernando County School District has withdrawn himself from consideration as the new Brevard Public Schools Superintendent position. Stratton was one of 4 finalist from a pool of 11 semifinalist.

Dr. Mark RendellPrincipal, Cocoa Beach Junior-Senior High School, Brevard Public Schools and former Indian River County School District superintendent — Application Application questions Video Response, Written Response

Dr. Jason Wysong: Deputy superintendent, executive director for instructional excellence and system equity — Application Application questions Video Response, Written Response

The finalists will be in Brevard County next week for interviews with the School Board and a Community Meeting. The School Board interviews will be held on April 27th beginning at 9:000 a.m. and broadcast on the district’s YouTube and cable channels. The Community Meeting will be held in the Board Room on April 27th at 6:00 p.m. The School Board interviews and the Community Meeting are open to the public. Private interviews with individual board members will take place on April 28th.

The School Board is scheduled to make a final decision on the next Superintendent during a May 2ndmeeting.
