The kickoff event featured training sessions designed to prepare coordinators for a successful school year while also connecting them with more than 35 local businesses and organizations ready to partner with Brevard schools. These partnerships, officials say, are key to expanding resources and opportunities for students countywide.

“PIE is such a powerful force for good in Brevard Public Schools,” the district said in a statement. “Our coordinators and partners share a commitment to supporting students through meaningful community engagement.”

The initiative has long been a cornerstone of BPS’s strategy to strengthen ties between schools and the broader community. By linking educators with local businesses, nonprofits, and civic groups, the PIE program creates opportunities ranging from mentorships and internships to financial support and volunteer engagement.

BPS leaders praised the coordinators and community partners who make these collaborations possible, noting that their efforts directly contribute to student achievement and long-term success.

“Here’s to a year full of impactful partnerships and student success,” the district’s statement concluded.
