Aftermath of Phantom Fireworks explosion

Yesterday around 4:20pm, a 53 year old man crashed into the Phantom Fireworks building in Melbourne after colliding with another vehicle.

Video footage shows that shortly after the accident, fireworks began going off inside the store sparking a massive inferno.

It took firefighters hours to extinguish the flames, while dodging rockets the entire time.

2 employees safely escaped the building however the driver of the vehicle did not survive. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
