Brevard Special Olympics Team Dominates Competition

On October 9th, Brevard County’s Special Olympics team, along with Coach Joe Luther and Chris Hollyfield took 16 athletes to compete at the Special Olympics fall classic in Lake Mary D1 training facility.

They competed against Orange, Seminole, and Lake County with 13 out of 16 1st Place medals coming back to Brevard county.

Coach Luther and Holyfield started this powerlifting team in 2019 with three athletes with this year being there largest showing yet.

New personal best records and Zander Roths team heaviest Deadlift of 400lbs and Clayton Ruffing bench press of 225lbs. These athletes have been preparing at Martinez law firm. Coach Joe looks forward and is inspired by his athletes to continue reaching their new personal best.

The team looks forward to finding out how many athletes it’ll be taking to represent Brevard County at Disney’s ESPN state games in November.
