MELBOURNE, Fla. — September 10, 2025 — Congressman Mike Haridopolos announced Wednesday that his office has recovered more than $5.4 million in benefits owed to Floridians since he took office in January. The reclaimed funds, he said, represent life-changing outcomes for thousands of residents across Brevard, Indian River, and Orange counties.

The freshman congressman, who represents Florida’s 8th District, credited his constituent services team with cutting through Washington red tape to deliver results.
“This milestone proves what I’ve believed since day one: Government should work for the people,” Haridopolos said. “These numbers represent real, earned benefits for real people: veterans receiving disability checks, families gaining survivor benefits, small businesses breaking free of IRS delays, and seniors finally getting the Social Security benefits they’ve earned.”
In just eight months, Haridopolos’ office has assisted more than 1,400 Floridians with stalled or complicated cases involving federal agencies. His staff includes several veterans with experience navigating the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense, which he says has been critical in resolving complex issues efficiently.
