43-year-old woman killed walking on 95 from another accident

A 43-year-old woman from Roseland exited her vehicle after bring involved in an accident in the center north-bound lane of I-95, when she was struck and killed by another vehicle.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a Mitsubishi Outlander driven by a 58-year-old woman from Rockledge, was traveling north near mile marker 160. The vehicle from the previous accident was facing south in the center lane with no lights on.

When the Outlander swerved to the right to avoid the disabled vehicle, it struck the woman who was walking east from the vehicle. FHP reports the victim was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Outlander was not injured.
