2nd victim, Jenny Golden, dies from New Years Eve DUI crash by Mark Venicola

2nd Passenger dies in New Year’s Eve Traffic Crash

On the 24th of January 2024, the second occupant involved in this traffic crash, identified as Jenny Renee Golden, 50, of Cocoa Beach, succumbed to her injuries. Mark Christian Vannicola Jr, 36, of Merritt Island, who is current in custody at the Brevard County Jail was charged with an additional count of DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide.

This is still an active investigation and anyone that may have any additional information are asked to contact the Cocoa Beach Police Department at 321-868-3251.
