Waste Management to Host Hiring Event for Drivers/Technicians June 25-26

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. — Waste Management (WM) will host a Hiring Day event to fill driver and technician positions this Friday and Saturday, (June 25-26) for Brevard and Indian River counties. As an essential service, and with the rebound of the Florida economy from the COVID-19 pandemic, WM is seeking professional drivers and technicians with interviews held on the spot for qualified individuals.

WM, which is already offering employees paid bachelor’s and associate degrees through its Your Tomorrow program, will be expanding these scholarships to spouses and children of team members later this year.

WHAT: Waste Management’s Hiring Day is the prime opportunity for qualified candidates to register for an in-person interview with hiring managers and potentially walk out with a same day officer to start their career with the WM family.

WHEN: Friday, June 25th, and Saturday, June 26th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

HOW: Certified drivers and technicians can easily pre-register for WM Hiring Day at https://careers.wm.com/wmevents. Once on the website, candidates can search for job opportunities in their area and submit an online application in advance. to pre-register, candidates can apply to any of the featured jobs. For those who can’t pre-register online, walk-in candidates will be interviewed depending on qualifications and manager availability. Candidates could be hired on the spot. Appropriate COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
