Inside the Honda Odyssey were four occupants — a mother and three children. The adult female driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the children were transported to hospitals. At least one patient was air-lifted to Arnold Palmer in Orlando.

Approximately a dozen bystanders rushed toward the burning vehicle in a desperate attempt to rescue the occupants. They were able to pull the mother and children out just before the fire intensified. Their swift and selfless actions may have saved the lives of the three surviving passengers.

At the time of this report, the inside and center southbound lanes of I-95 remained blocked, with only the outside lane reopened to traffic. Troopers are still actively investigating the cause of the crash, and further details, including the identities of those involved, are pending.
