Titusville Man Killed after crashing Motorcycle into Tesla

Melbourne, FL – A tragic accident on Saturday resulted in the death of a 34-year-old Titusville man, identified as Benjamin James Fish Jr., who was riding his motorcycle through Melbourne. The crash involved Fish’s 2007 Suzuki motorcycle and a 2022 Tesla Model Y driven by a 35-year-old woman from West Melbourne, according to Melbourne Police.

The collision occurred at the intersection of West Nasa Boulevard and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Authorities reported that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on West Nasa Boulevard while the Tesla was heading west on the same road. The accident happened when the Tesla driver attempted to turn left onto southbound Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, entering the direct path of the motorcycle.

Fish’s motorcycle struck the Tesla as the driver attempted to complete the turn. Despite immediate CPR efforts by responding officers, Fish was pronounced dead at the scene by Melbourne Fire Department personnel.

The Melbourne Police Department has launched an investigation to determine if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. They are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Melbourne traffic homicide investigators at 321-615-6649.
