A Putnam County youth pastor was arrested and charged with possessing child porn, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Ed Wilds III, 45, is a youth pastor at Palatka Baptist Temple Church and a Middleton-Burney Elementary School teacher.

His father is the head pastor of the church.

SERIOUS INJURY HIT AND RUN MOTORCYCLE CRASH - STATE ROAD 520On October 25, 2025, at approximately 12:17 A.M., FHP responded to a hit-and-run crash with serious injuries on State Road 520 and Clearlake Road. The crash involves V1 (unknown gray sedan) and V2 (2010 Harley Davidson Motorcycle). Post-collision, the gray sedan fled the scene. The motorcycle rider and passenger, 55-year-old male from Cocoa and 54-year-old female from Merrit Island, were transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition. V1 is possibly a gray in color Hyundai sedan. V1 should have heavy front-end damage. Possibly missing the grill, fog lights, and most of the front bumper.
