Family members say Jasun Dole still has not been found after he disappeared in heavy surf Sunday morning near Juan Ponce de Leon Landing in Melbourne Beach.![]()

According to a family update posted Monday, Dole was bodyboarding in very large, rough surf with a heavy shore break and was wearing swim fins. He was seen going under the water and did not resurface. His board was found Sunday morning.![]()

The photo above was taken at 8:27 a.m. Sunday by Space Coast Rocket follower Mya Gordon, who shared it in the comments of our original post. A friend has confirmed the man in the photo is Dole. He was wearing a yellow shirt and dark shorts and was carrying a dark bodyboard.![]()

Gordon said she saw the man set up a camera on the dune at Ponce de Leon around 8:30 a.m., walk a short distance north, and then enter the water. Another reader reported the camera was still on the dune at 9:25 a.m.![]()

The family describes Dole as a highly experienced surfer who has traveled the world surfing and has organized and taken part in surfing competitions for many years. He has been with his partner, Christa, for more than 15 years and is stepfather to her son, Cully.![]()

"At this time, we do not know what happened, and we don't want to speculate," the family wrote, adding that they are grateful to everyone who has helped search.![]()

Search and recovery efforts are continuing. The family is asking anyone along the coast to keep watching the shoreline. If you see Jasun or anything that may be connected to the search, call 911 immediately.![]()

The Starbucks inside Melbourne Square Mall has closed after nearly 20 years in operation.![]()

Brian Cavins, the location's first manager, shared the news in a Facebook post describing the closing as "a bittersweet day." Cavins said he was there when the space was cleared out as a Barnie's Coffee & Tea, then returned a few months later to open it as a Starbucks.![]()

It was Cavins' first store as a manager and the first team he built. He described it as a place of personal growth, lasting friendships, and countless customer connections.![]()

According to Cavins, employees, known as partners, are transitioning to new home stores. "Everyone will be okay," he wrote, adding that the team's care and support has been felt throughout the process.![]()
