Since joining the force in 2002, Gretta brought passion, professionalism, and heart to every role she took on. Her career was filled with commendations and courageous acts — but what truly set her apart was the deep, lasting impact she made on the community she served.

As DeLaura’s SRO for nearly two decades, Cpl. Valiente-Smith was more than an officer — she was a mentor, protector, and a steady presence in the lives of students, staff, and families.
