Officer Alice Deakins was recently featured in USA Today’s Modern Woman magazine as an Essential Hero for answering the call during the COVID-19 pandemic!

Officer Deakins leads the prescription delivery program for the #Rockledge Police Department, spending hours each week picking up prescriptions from local pharmacies and safely delivering them to residents who may otherwise not feel comfortable going out due to the pandemic.

One of the drivers, Jorge Rodriguez Leon, 45, grabbed a bat from his vehicle, threatened the victim, and demanded $300 for vehicle damageWhen the victims didn’t have cash, Rodriguez Leon raised the bat again and demanded a gold chain from the victim’s neck, worth around $2,000.But it didn’t stop there. After stealing the chain, the suspect texted the victim his address and demanded cash to get it back.
