Palm Bay Police Arrest Edison Antonio Following Alleged Multi-Day Assault and Sexual Battery

Antonio was wanted on the following charges:
- Sexual Battery, Robbery and Felony Battery
- Violation of Probation
- Failure to Appear
Antonio has an extensive criminal history that includes prior convictions for:

- Tampering with a Witness or Victim
- Improper Exhibition of a Dangerous Weapon
The most recent investigation stems from incidents that occurred beginning Jan. 6, and continued over the course of several days. Antonio targeted a victim he had recently met and transported them to a residence in Palm Bay. While there, Antonio physically battered the victim multiple times over several days. Our investigators determined the victim was intimidated and confined to the residence, despite expressing a desire to leave. Antonio is also accused of sexually battering the victim and later taking property from them.
The Palm Bay Police Department recognizes the courage it takes for victims to come forward and is committed to conducting thorough investigations that prioritize victim safety, dignity and support. The department is committed in its mission to bring justice to those harmed and to take offenders into custody.
