A man in Palm Bay was shot and killed late Sunday evening according to officials.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 8pm on Scotia Street where a man was holding family members hostage at gunpoint.

According to Palm Bay police, after hours of negotiations, the man eventually opened fire on the police and was subsequently killed by return fire.
