Just after 4PM today, Station 1 received a 911 call for a person who fell down a drainage culvert along US1.

During the fall, the person injured themselves and could not climb back up the steep embankment. Crew members from our Technical Rescue Team worked to get the patient’s injuries stabilized and in time, lifted out of the embankment to safety.

The patient was then transported to a local trauma center for further evaluation. #PalmBayFireRescue

A Palm Bay man awaiting trial on felony child abuse charges got a Brevard County judge to lift a ban on contact with minors after telling the judge he was a licensed contractor managing a construction project for Brevard Public Schools.Florida records show John Eric Vernon holds no contractor license and never has.
