Katie Stimus of Melbourne identified as woman killed by train Christmas Eve

36-year-old Katherine Stimus of Melbourne was identified by police as the woman who was struck and killed by a Brightline train on Christmas Eve.

The accident occurred at the crossing of U.S.-1 and Aurora Rd. closing the road down for hours as police investigated.

It appears that Katie leaves behind a teenage daughter according to her social media. Next of kin has been notified.
