Cocoa Beach Police arrest woman for passing fake $100 bills

Arrest made in Passing Counterfeit Currency

On the 22nd of February 2024, the Cocoa Beach Police Department arrested Brenda Stefan Silvera Klembert, 33 of New Jersey for the charges of Uttering Forged Instruments and Theft. The arrest was in reference to multiple counterfeit $100.00 bills being passed at various locations throughout Brevard County.

Two establishments within Cocoa Beach notified law enforcement concerning the counterfeit bills. During the investigation and subsequent arrest, additional victims were identified. It is believed that other businesses may have been targeted by these subjects. If you believe that you may have received some of these counterfeit bills, please contact your local law enforcement agency.
