Brevard County Death toll jumps by 20 overnight as Florida records highest single-day death toll

Florida reported 186 deaths on Tuesday, a new single-day record. After 2 days of no deaths in Brevard over the weekend, Tuesday reports jumped by 20.

The state reported 9,240 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 441,977. The death toll stands at 6,117 since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

•Brevard County: 5,155 cases, 85 deaths

•Sumter County: 1,028 cases, 27 deaths

•Polk County: 11,893 cases, 236 deaths

•Marion County: 3,928 cases, 51 deaths

•Flagler County: 838 cases, 10 deaths

•Alachua County: 3,297 cases, 20 deaths
