Brevard Public Schools Closed Wednesday ahead of Hurricane Milton

Brevard Public Schools will be closed starting Wednesday ahead of Hurricane Milton. They will remain closed on Thursday.

After school activities on Tuesday may be cancelled, but will be determined later.

Florida Institute of Technology announced that they will be closed starting at noon on Tuesday.

Due to Hurricane Milton, all Brevard Public Schools and offices will be closed Wednesday, 10/09, and Thursday, 10/10.

At this time, all schools are expected to be open tomorrow, Monday, 10/07, and Tuesday, 10/08. Schools are also expected to be open on Friday, 10/11.

As the storm moves closer, a more detailed forecast will be made available. We will update families if anything changes.

The district will continue to work collaboratively with Brevard County Emergency Operations and other local agencies to monitor the storm’s progress and determine the best course of action for the safety of our students, staff, and families.
