Brevard Public Schools chooses Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High Principal Dr. Rendell as new Superintendent

The School Board this morning debated over 3 final candidates for the permanent Superintendent position. The vote came down to two candidates specifically. Dr. Schneider was favored by Kayte Campbell and Jennifer Jenkins. Dr. Rendell was favored by Matt Susin, Megan Wright, and Gene Trent.

During second round of discussion, Trent made a motion to select Dr. Rendell which was seconded by Matt Susin. Dr. Rendell was selected by a 3-2 vote respectively.

After the vote, Matt Susin made a motion to ceremoniously re-vote to attempt to get a 5-0 vote from the board to support Dr. Rendell. That vote failed.
