According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, agents executed a search warrant this past week at the home of Brandon Cobb after receiving cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children related to someone at the residence allegedly viewing child sexual abuse material online.

Investigators said Cobb was later identified as the suspect through various investigative methods.

During an interview with agents, Cobb allegedly admitted to viewing child sexual abuse material on his phone and exchanging images and videos with other individuals through the Telegram and Signal apps, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities said the phone was seized and turned over to the agency’s Digital Forensics Unit for further examination. Investigators believe additional images and videos may be recovered, and the sheriff’s office said more charges are expected as the forensic review continues.

Cobb was ultimately arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail on 10 counts of Possession of Material Depicting Sexual Performance of a Child. His bond was set at $350,000.

In announcing the arrest, Sheriff Wayne Ivey also urged parents to remain actively involved in their children’s online activity, warning that internet platforms and messaging apps can be used by predators to target minors and share exploitative material.

The investigation remains ongoing.
