BREAKING: Kissimmee Mayor Jackie Espinosa was arrested Wednesday morning and is being charged with grand theft and organized scheme to defraud, according to Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier.Espinosa was pulled over shortly after 8 a.m. as she drove away from her home and was taken into custody.The arrest follows months of scrutiny over $50,000 in COVID relief grants awarded through the city's BOOST 2.0 program to businesses tied to Espinosa and her family. A special prosecutor found probable cause for impeachment in July, and the Florida Commission on Ethics found probable cause of an ethics violation in September.
