Simpson was arrested at the St. Johns County Jail facility while he was being held for unrelated charges.

“While the motives continue to be investigated, what is clear is that our two teenage victims were brutally executed and left in an open field on Christmas night, which happed to be Trayvon’s 16th birthday” Palm Bay Police Chief Augello stated.

“Jamarcus Simpson is a cold blooded killer who left our two victims to die alone in the middle of nowhere,” he continued.

The chief went on to accuse media outlets of reporting unsubstantiated facts about this case. It should be noted that we broke this story on 12/27 last year after speaking directly to one of the victims’ mother. We reached out to Palm Bay Police for comment repeatedly on this case and others and have not once received a response from them on any cases in Palm Bay.

The chief says that there are other suspects in the case and are hoping that someone comes forward with evidence that will allow them to apprehend them.

“To the others involved in these murders, we know who you are, and rest assured, we will not stop until you are behind bars. You may have forgotten, but we haven’t,” the chief stated.
