BCSO announces free teen driver course

IF YOU HAVE A TEENAGER READY TO DRIVE THEN THE TEEN DRIVER CHALLENGE IS SOMETHING YOU WON’T WANT THEM TO MISS!!

This FREE one-day course for teen drivers (with a valid license or permit, ages 15-19) reinforces important safety information during the classroom session, and students gain valuable skills & hands-on experience during the driving portion, both under the direct instruction of a Florida Sheriff’s Association certified BCSO deputy. During the driving portion, students navigate through a variety of exercises, including figure eight, lane evasion, threshold braking, reverse and forward serpentine, off-road recovery, and skid recovery, all on the drive pad!!

Classes run from 8am – 4pm on certain Saturday’s and are held at Eastern Florida State College in Palm Bay. Participation and course completion may also qualify your youth for reduce insurance rates (check with your agent).
