I am a former Brevard County Bar President. I was elected by my peers to lead the Brevard Bar Association of more than six hundred attorneys from various counties throughout the State of Florida. I currently sits on the Advisory Council for Eckerd Connects in Brevard County. I have served on the Women’s Center Board of Directors, Make-A-Wish, and Brevard County Legal Aid. I am active in the community and in church. I was recognized as the Mentor of the Year by the Vassar B. Carlton Inns of Court. I was awarded the Young Lawyer Professionalism Award. I volunteer with Brevard County Legal Aid. I have served as an Attorney Ad Litem to assist children aging out of foster care.
1. Why are you running?
My highest priority is serving our community. I firmly believes that judges should follow the law. I will apply the law fairly and equally to the people in court. Our citizens deserve a judge who will issue clear, well-crafted written decisions that ensure no one is left confused about what just happened in court. I have a well-rounded background so that I am ready to handle all types of cases that will come before me if elected. I am a Martindale-Hubbell AV preeminent rated attorney. I have thirty-two years of experience, knowledge, and leadership, along with the wisdom those qualities bring, I am the right choice for Brevard County Judge-Group

2. What are your top three priorities if elected?
My highest priorities are to follow the law, to apply the law fairly and equally to everyone, and to serve our community.
3. What is the single biggest problem facing the people this office serves, and how would you address it?
I believe the greatest problem facing the people that county judges serve are activist judges who legislate from the bench. When a judge imposes his will on the people instead of following the law as written by the legislature, it creates an imbalance in the three separate, co-equal branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial. These three co-equal branches of government are the bedrock of our democratic system of government. This judicial activism leads to rulings that treat similarly situated people differently.

4. How will you keep constituents informed and involved in your decisions?
Judges are governed by Cannon 7 of the Judicial Code of Conduct so judges which prohibits judges from discussing many topics. However, I will issue clear, timely rulings on the issues before me so that no one leaves court feeling confused about what happened. I will treat all equally with dignity and respect.
5. Why are you a better choice than your opponents?
I am a seasoned trial attorney with over thirty years of experience. I am in court almost every day. After gaining significant experience as a defense attorney and a senior attorney, I opened my own law firm in 2004, and for the past 20 plus years, I have been in the courtroom representing the people of Brevard County in family law, injunctions, civil matters, evictions, and criminal matters. I have a well-rounded background so that I able handle all types of cases that will come before the immediately. I am a Martindale-Hubbell AV preeminent rated attorney. I have over 100 five star ratings on google.com. Thirty-two years of experience, knowledge, and leadership, along with the wisdom those qualities bring, makes me the right choice for Brevard County Judge-Group 3.
6. Is there anything in your record you’d like to address up front?
No. I have never been arrested. I have never had an Petition for Injunction for Protection Against Domestic Violence filed against me. I have never had a lawsuit filed against me to collect a debt. I am currently employed at Tucker Mitnik, PA where I have worked for over 20 plus years.
Anything else you’d like voters to know?
I am a Wife, Mother, Christian, Attorney, and breast cancer survivor. As the owner of a small business, I know first hand the work ethic it takes to be successful. In private practice, I do not receive a guaranteed paycheck each month from the city, state, or federal government. If I do not work, I do not get paid. Because I know the law and treat people with dignity and respect, our citizens hire me to represent them. Because I work hard, follow the law, and explain things to them in a way they understand, people are very happy with my representation. I will bring those same qualities to the position of Brevard County Court Judge–Group 3.
