In an email to the Palm Bay City Council tonight, Palm Bay City Manager Lisa Morrell responded to Mayor Capote’s letter of no confidence asking that she tender her resignation. The email is posted below.

🚨 ARREST MADE IN BICENTENNIAL PARK SHOOTING 🚨Indian Harbour Beach Police have arrested Traeshun Patterson, 19, of Cocoa, in connection with a shooting that occurred on January 28, 2026, at Bicentennial Park.According to police, the incident began as a verbal dispute in the park’s parking lot. Investigators say Patterson and others left the area, waited nearby, and then fired multiple rounds at the victim’s vehicle as it traveled north on A1A with a female passenger inside. One round struck the vehicle’s tire.
