Palm Bay Releases Statement on shooting this afternoon

PALM BAY, FLORIDA – At around noon this afternoon, the Palm Bay Police Department received a call about a shooting south of Malabar Road and St Johns Heritage Parkway.
Police located an individual with a gunshot wound who was airlifted to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The individual was part of a crew hired to work on some trees in the area west of the city’s shooting ranges.
Palm Bay detectives and crime scene investigators are currently on scene working diligently to determine the origin of the bullet and the circumstances surrounding this incident.
